Two and a Half Men is an American television sitcom that began broadcast on CBS on September 22, 2003, and ended on February 19, 2015 after twelve seasons. Originally starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, the show was about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie Harper; his uptight brother Alan; and Alan's son Jake. 1. Throughout the series, Sheen interrupted the filming of ‘Two and a Half Men’ because of rehabilitation, public remarks against the producers and various other issues. He went to rehab in February 2010 (Season 7) following charges of felony menacing, third degree assault and criminal mischief against his former wife Brooke Mueller.

2. Conchata Ferrell, who plays the role of Bertha, was originally casted as a recurring character on the show. Once the producers saw how much the audience enjoyed her role, they turned her into a regular cast member making her a hit.

3. Chuck Lorre has admitted being a big fan of British band UK Subs. The lead character of the original seasons (Charlie Harper) shares the name with the lead singer in the group. Despite the similarity, Chuck has also said to have named the character after film editor Charles Harper Yates, whom he worked with while producing 'Dharma & Greg'.

4. Over 12 years the show has been on air, only Jon Cryer has appeared in every episode.

5. Creator Chuck Lorre is the brains behind other hit comedies including 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Dharma and Greg', 'Roseanne', 'Cybil', and 'Grace Under Fire'. Charlie Sheen later said the show was cursed and that, “'I dare anyone to spend ten years in the laugh-track that is Chuck Lorre's hive of oppression and not suffer some form of an emotional tsunami.”
