Carlos Irwin Estévez, born September 3, 1965. Best known by his stage name Charlie Sheen, is an American actor. Sheen rose to fame after a series of successful films such as Platoon (1986), Wall Street (1987), Young Guns (1988), Eight Men Out (1988), Major League (1989), Hot Shots! (1991), and The Three Musketeers (1993).

In the 2000s, Sheen became best known for his television roles. He replaced Michael J. Fox in Spin City and his performance earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy and then starred in Two and a Half Men which earned him several Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations. He most recently starred in the FX comedy series Anger Management, which concluded its 100-episode run in 2014. In 2010, Sheen was the highest paid actor on television and earned US$1.8 million per episode of Two and a Half Men.

1. His whole body is covered with 12 tattoos, such as: a dragon with glasses, a stingray on his left ankle, wooden sign nailed above his heart, pep squad photo on inner-thigh, etc.

2. He used to collect guns, and always takes it when he films on location. But, once he accidentally shot on Kelly Preston’s arm, and now no longer owns any of them after a domestic violence charge.

3. Sheen has been accused of committing physical violence against former girlfriend Brittany Ashland, and Denise Richards claimed that his continued threats of  physical violence was one of the reasons she split from him.

4. In 1998, he was hospitalized due to cocaine overdose, and was on probation in California for a previous drug offense, till he entered a rehab clinic. He spent around $500,000 on escorts and drugs before he checked into rehab.

5. In 2006, he was ranked #2 on Maxim’s “10 Living Sex Legends” list, having purportedly slept with over 5,000 women. Sheen also testified in the Heidi Fleiss trial that he had spent over $50,000 on 27 hookers from Fleiss’s fleet.

6. He is a huge baseball fan and an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He once owned the historic ball hit by Mookie Wilson that rolled between Bill Buckner’s legs in the 1986 play-offs. He says he’d rather have one at-bat in the major leagues than win an Oscar.

7. Charlie Sheen recently confessed that he is HIV positive. He was diagnosed with the virus 4 years ago and has been paying people to keep it a secret. In order to stop the blackmailing he decided to reveal the truth himself.

8. Sheen's life was saved by actor Keith David during the filming of Platoon (1986). During a battle scene, the two actors were in an open-doored helicopter. The pilot banked the helicopter too sharply and Charlie started to fall towards the open door. Keith grabbed him before he plunged out the door, saving his life.

9. Charlie was born Carlos Irwin Estavez. He was born a "blue baby.” The doctor who saved him was named “Irwin" and Charlie's middle name was in honor of him.
