1. He is on the board of Governors of “National Space Society” founded by Dr. Wernher Von Braun. It’s a non-profit educational space advocacy organization.
2. He is a fan of English Premier League soccer team Aston Villa and was presented with a jersey on a TV show with "Hanks" and the number one printed on the back.
3. Before he played a gay lawyer with AIDS in the famous 1993 drama “Philadelphia,” Hanks lost 35 pounds (16 kilograms) and even thinned his hair in order to appear sickly for the role.
4. He spoke to New York Magazine in 1986 and stated “Acting classes looked like the best place for a guy who liked to make a lot of noise and be rather flamboyant. ...
